About Us
Chengdu Famous Food is a contemporary Sichuan restaurant located in University City, established in 2017. Our chefs craft dishes that evoke the flavors of their cherished memories, sharing the rich culture of Sichuan with the diverse community of University City. Each dish offers a unique experience, potentially introducing you to an entirely new culinary sensation.
Our executive chef Xue (pronounced "sue-yeah"), hails from Chengdu, the vibrant capital of Sichuan and the homeland of pandas. Chef Xue is a distinguished Level I chef, the highest certification for professional chefs in China, having honed his skills in Chengdu during the 1970s. Before relocating to the U.S., he served as the executive chef at a prestigious five-star hotel restaurant in Hong Kong. Chef Xue has played a pivotal role in establishing kitchens and training chefs at numerous restaurants in New York City, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.

Parking
Metered parking is available on Lancaster Avenue. It’s free after 8 pm and on Sundays. Most nearby residential streets offer free two-hour parking during the weekdays. Additionally, free parking is available on these streets after 6:30 pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays, including on 35th, 36th, Powelton Avenue, Race Street, and Warren Street. Please note that the Parking Permit Authority strictly enforces parking regulations, so be sure to read the signs carefully.
